Commercial Description:
In the hill country of eastern Ohio lie the geological treasures of Old Man's Cave, Conkels Hollow, and Cantwell Cliffs. Our Hefeweizen is a tribute to the natural wonder of these places; an authentic German Weissbier. This delicious beer is unlike anything you've ever tasted before! Hints of clove, banana, and vanilla are some of the flavors produced by the special strain of yeast we use. Because the beer is unfiltered, it becomes cloudy when chilled, in the traditional German way.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a hazy with fine particulate strong bubbly carbonation dark orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The nice aroma was banana and fruity. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The good flavor contained notes of malt fruity banana and yeast. A wonderful best in class brew.

Holy Esters! This hefe is an aromactic shapeshifter morphing from banana to strawberry to clove and others too many to name. It is very yeasty which is to be expected from a weiss bier packing this kind of olefactory punch. The mouthfeel does have a hell of a bite and it’s gravity must be practically double digits. The head is a lifer. It stays with you through the whole experience leaving nice lacing down the glass. Excellent hefe from an excellent brewery.

Appears a hazy gold with CO2 seen rising to the top before the yeasty remnants are poured into the tall weizen glass. A small, creamy head slowly fades into a 1/4" cap that never leaves. Scattered spots of lacing are left around the sides. Smell is of crisp wheat, lemony citrus, creamy vanilla custard, poached pairs, light banana, spice, and doughy yeast. Taste is of the aromas with a fresh bread character, light fruit, and citrus. The mouthfeel is super smooth, light-medium bodied with banana sweetness & vanilla, along with a clean yeast along the palate. Excellent carbonation along the tongue and roof of the mouth. This is an outstanding version of a Hefe brewed in the U.S. I happen to have another bottle, which I’ll savor for the appropriate time.

Hazy golden in color. Flavor is fruits, bananas, wheats, and candy sweetness, and its damn good too. Light bodied making It easy to make a session out of. This is what a summer beer should be like. Will definitely be making a second purchase.

Thanks to Shigadeyo for another cool breer. Bomber. Pours a medium slightly hazy golden with a large quickly fading head. Aroma is pretty big spice, coriander, wheat. Flavor has bananna, spice, light malt, clove. Flavor is huge for a rather light 4.6% brew. Very enjoyable. Thanks again Craig.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a small fizzy head. Aroma is a big dose of banana’s and clove. Flavor is yeasty banana’s with some cloves and pepper. Outsanding example of the style.

Had this on tap at Barley’s The Smokehouse. This was a big hit at my table. Giant fresh nose of banana’s, berries, citrus, pear & apple - in a word, fruity. This brew is fuzzy sparkling light clover honey. The super white head has light lace and is mostly diminishing. The beer is very malty and fresh with no acidity. Just a trickle of sour snap. The finish is very light. The light to medium body is soft and very creamy.

Puddleglum nail this one. It is one of the best Hefeweizen’s I’ve ever had. Soft yellow colored, hazy, moderate white head that very slow to fall down. Aroma is very floral, cloves, banana, yeast and honey. It is almost like walking through a flower bed in the early spring. Well made hefe!
