Commercial Description:
In the old days, runners who made it to third base were rewarded with a mug of beer. This is the way the game was meant to be played; pitchers throwing side-armed and a half barrel on the field. Asa Brainard, the pitcher who led Cincinnati's first professional baseball team to the World Championship in 1869, was paid $1,600. The beer must have been good! Our RedLegg Ale is an American style red ale, the kind you'd find in the hop country of the Pacific Northwest. This deep red ale is a has a great big hop flavor and a slightly sweet finish.

Bomber. Pours dark orange/reddish with a big foamy off-white head. Aroma is big malts, some caramel toastiness balanced with a noticeable hop piney component. Aroma is fairly strong, certainly stronger than the ABV would make you believe. There is a strong aroma that is dominating everything else though I can’t put my finger on it. It’s like tree bark mixed with cotton candy and a touch of ether. Anyways... The flavor is pretty damn sweet, extremely fruity, and tart. Very strange. The flavor and the aroma do not match at all. Very bland mouthfeel, almost no body. I don’t know what’s wrong with this beer but something is off in the taste. I couldn’t finish this bottle. Too bad because it showed potential.

Bomber. Poured translucent auburn with a creamy cap of beige head that stuck well to the glass. The aroma picked up nutty notes first and foremost with lesser caramel present.. detergent notes detracted a bit. The flavor found some cocoa to complement the nutty notes in the sweet department.. bitterness was light and leafy.. light cardboardey oxidation in there too. Light-medium bodied with substantial carbonation on the palate.. this paired with a grainy texture that didn’t feel too great.. OK overall.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a thick beige head that produces a good amount of lacing. The aroma is mainly caramel malts with light fruity hoppiness also present. The flavor is caramel malt, mild roasted malt, and a touch of bitterness. Medium bodied and fairly smooth drinking.

this is a brew that is tart and fizzy. the main tastes are some kind of artifical tasting consortium of candy like fruit flavors that prove useless to attempt to describe as it is all artificial in taste. kind of like a sweet tart candy fizz all chalky and with alcohol. needless to say it is not enjoyable and for that matter neither tolerable.

22oz bottle. Poured a clear reddish-orange color. Head fizzled out quickly to a few soapy bubbles. Smelled of crackers, molasses, and subdued brown sugar. Slightly sweet with toffee, earthy hop, and corn syrup flavors. Plenty of corn syrup, unfortunately. There was also a hint of white paper to top things off. Not all that good.

Poured from a 22oz bomber and served in a shaker. This beer poured a cloudy, dark amber with a thin head of beige foam that quickly faded away. No lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of caramel, iced tea, and some mild citrus hops. The flavor consisted of toasted caramel, orange, and light pine. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with light carbonation. Just another middle of the road amber.

22 oz. bottle thanks to a trade with Ty5592. The pour is all head, no matter how slowly I pour it down the side of the glass. Makes we wonder if this beer is infected, but the beer did not gush out when I opened the bottle and does not smell foul. The aroma is light and pleasant with notes of malt and pine. Now that the head has settled a bit, I can see this is a cloudy amber beer. There are no floaters or any other flotsam. The taste is metallic and acrid. This is impossible to finish. Down the drain it goes...

Bright copper color with a smallish, diminished dark canvas colored head. Quite sweet aromas, with sorghum, caramel, butter toffee and a mild funk that has a under-attenuated presence. Big grainy sweetness in the start that leads to a mild cherry and woody flavor. Some acidity in the finish. Some mild licorice. Fairly thin and watery in feel. Even with close to half of the 22 oz. down, I doubt I will have anything better to say about this one. So...
