Commercial Description:
In the old days, runners who made it to third base were rewarded with a mug of beer. This is the way the game was meant to be played; pitchers throwing side-armed and a half barrel on the field. Asa Brainard, the pitcher who led Cincinnati's first professional baseball team to the World Championship in 1869, was paid $1,600. The beer must have been good! Our RedLegg Ale is an American style red ale, the kind you'd find in the hop country of the Pacific Northwest. This deep red ale is a has a great big hop flavor and a slightly sweet finish.

Brown sugar- that is what I get in the aroma and no hops at all. The taste-sort of like water after it has been in a cheap plastic container for awhile. Really off on the hops as I get none. This is not pleasant at all.

25-April-07 Bomber from party something or other liquors in Lexington KY. Dark copper-amber with lasting head of large tan bubbles. Aroma is tinny and a bit grassy with hints of cooked greens and fresh tobacco. Body is overly effy with a sharp tingle. This beer might be showing signs of being a bit off. Palate is coated with mild malts, toasty, somewhat nutty, a bit leafy, still a touch tinny, and finishing with a grainy/husky note. Surprisingly thin, though, and pretty bland, all things considered. Not great stuff, but I have high hopes for the other two bombers I’ve got here from Barrel House since I so loved their dortmunder. Meh, some band-aid/plasticy thing going on in the retronasal that is really not pleasing.

Mild syrup, carmel aroma. Clear, copper, with a thin head. Great balance of carmel malts and hops. Very smooth with a dry finish. Nice session amber ale.

pint at HotShotz - Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and hops. Pours deep amber with a small head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma with an emphasis on the malt. Palate is sticky. Not bad for an amber.

Malty and slightly sweet aroma. Reddish brown in appearance. Full palate for an amber or red ale whichever it should be...Lots of malt and lightly roasted flavors up front wiht a hint of the hops in the finish. Nice brew.

22oz bomber. Filtered with an amber ruby hue. Thick edged layer of off-white head. Soggy bready aromas. Touch of citrus in the nose. Medium bodied with a nice initial flavor. Little light, but crisp. Lively bitter citrus hop flavor. Caramel malts with a touch of cocoa and raisins. Thin, but not too thin. Just short lived. Nice sticky amber. Easy drinking.
