Fairly single minded beer, narshish bitter notes with a little peachy notes but not well consructed. Overall disapointing. Garrat (1132), Suffolk, England

I’ve tasted many a home-brew better then these beers they’ve knocked out. Foggy orange colour with a thin, sharp white head. Sharp sour aroma. Bitter/sweat taste with no backbone at all. No bitterness, no hops. Poor them. (5,2,5,2,9:2.3)
Re-rated: 6/July/04. Had a second bottle of this thanks to chris_o and I must say. This one was richer and smoother and rather nice. chriso (4796), London, Greater London, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 24, 2003 Bartrams produces a very wide range of bottle-conditioned beers, most of which are rarely, if ever, available on draft, so you will have to track down the bottled versions if you want to try them. Barwells, a food store in Bury St Edmunds, stocks most of them. Beer Elsie Bub is brewed with Fuggles & Goldings hops and flavoured with honey and coriander. Quite pale coloured and the flavourings are fairly subtle. Plenty of hoppy bitterness to balance things up. Very nice. Bottled, October 2003
