| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 8, 2009 Draft, obviously. Pours a nice deep red with only a small off white head. Aroma needed some time to warm up but once it did there was lots of malty sweetness, honey..molassess, some nut aromas, slightly chocolatey as well. Flavor is very malt based with some slikd sweetness, honey, dark fruits, and nuts and bread. Body is a little on the thin side but that seems to be commonplace for this brewpub. This is one rather solid offering from Basils. pineypower (1096), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA
