A classic looking ale - clear amber with a decent head that left a layer throughout. Subtle aroma of malts, bread and hops. Taste is similar but the hops come through a bit more intensely. Medium bodied, good carbonation, well balanced with slight bitterness in the aftertaste.

Pours a medium amber, with little head. Smells like a typical bitter, slightly doughy with some sweet hops. Flavor is lighter than the aroma, well balanced, but slightly less bitter than you’d want in a ESB. Palate is medium weight and smooth, with no/little fizz or carbonation. Overall a good session bitter, worthy of better scores than it has received here.

Bottle poured into pint glass- poured transparent amber brown, decent size white head formed and stayed around for awhile, medium carbonation. Aroma of malt and hops, appealing. Hits the mouth with a medium body with water in the backbone, the malt and hops are nicely paired together, finish has that bitter nod. Nice sipper/sessioner.

Pretty damned respectable for a widely distributed beer, one of the better ones, if not one of the best. This beer is a light-brownish pour with a white head, and has a nice malt character with a touch of bitterness.

A light beer! Pours a amber color with a lasting white head. It smells of light malts, and its taste is of malts with a slight bitter finish.

Bottle. Aroma of malt and light hops. Taste is sweet and watery. Drinkable, very common beer to see at a party.

Bass Pale Ale is very attractive with its nice amber color and perfect head. The aroma is malty with some hops while the taste is very nice, but less fulfilling than you would hope from such a nice looking beer.

Bottle. Pours a nice brown with white head. Nice aroma, smooth taste, great session beer. Nowhere to what I remember - I’m not sure if that’s because my tastes have changed or because the changes consolidation has brought.
