douglas88 (743), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bottle bought at the State Store in Murray, Utah. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head that goes down to next to nothing. The aroma is sweet malts and some caramel The taste is pretty smooth; a semi-sweet malt base with some nutty and fruit flavors. Pretty light, but easygoing and unoffensive. Decent.
bsm80 (99), Massapequa, New York, USA Sep 7, 2008 Nice looking amber pour, as the description says it is bitter, but a faint bitter offset nicely by some citrus, faintly nutty, smooth finish. A must too have this on tap, a must. Strangebrewer (16), Chatham, Ontario, Canada Sep 6, 2008 Beautiful copper colour, Thin creamy head. Sweet malty caramel nose. Nice bitterness, a little metallic aftertaste. Easy to drink. I’ll have another round please. zappafan99 (322), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Sep 1, 2008 Taste: 9/8 Bottle(?) Looks: Copper with a thin yeasty head. Aroma: Small hops fruit/citrus behind the yeast. Taste: A good ESB even if it is the export recipe. Like it more every time I have it. Nothing special, but a good quality beer for such high production. kennydiaz (60), staten island, New York, USA Aug 31, 2008 SLIGHTLY BITTER WITH A NICE COPPER COLOR. GOOD ON ITS OWN BUT GREAT TOPPED OF WITH GUINNESS. ITS DEFINITELY ONE OF MY STAPLE BEERS. neo_hippie2 (119), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Aug 30, 2008 Solid brew. Pours a nice deep amber/copper with a generous white head. Pleasant malty aroma Very refreshing on the palate with a crisp finish that has a nice touch of hops in the background to it. I think the best way to describe this one would be well-balanced
