FlyingSwine (92), Colorado, USA Mar 22, 2008 Pours a medium amber, with little head. Smells like a typical bitter, slightly doughy with some sweet hops. Flavor is lighter than the aroma, well balanced, but slightly less bitter than you’d want in a ESB. Palate is medium weight and smooth, with no/little fizz or carbonation. Overall a good session bitter, worthy of better scores than it has received here.
scooter_bub (135), Lander, Wyoming, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear brown with a decent white head that fades some. The taste is of caramel, malt and is somewhat sweet. Fairly bitter. The aroma matches the taste. A pretty good beer as it is tasty and very easy to drink. Is a nice treat to have when it is on sale and is pretty nice to have when it isn’t. douglas88 (610), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bottle bought at the State Store in Murray, Utah. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head that goes down to next to nothing. The aroma is sweet malts and some caramel The taste is pretty smooth; a semi-sweet malt base with some nutty and fruit flavors. Pretty light, but easygoing and unoffensive. Decent. kpresley77 (51), Jackson, Georgia, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bottle pours clear golden/copper with thin white head. Aroma is malt and hops. First taste is sweet malt then slight hops bitterness. Really well balanced. Watered down a little which makes for a clean finish. Verry underated pale ale. matt7215 (491), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Jul 7, 2008 500 ml can from the LCBO. pour clear orange with a nice tan head. very good pale ale apperance. aromas are pale malts but very subdued. flavours are nicely balanced between caramel malts and hops. solid structure to this brew. very sessionable. the flavours is always present but isnt big in any way. a fine drop id have anytime. texasbartender (126), Sugarland, Texas, USA Jul 7, 2008 The beer pours a light amber with a thick white head.
