Sep 2, 2005 Sweet, malty aroma with notes of brown sugar and bubblegum esters. Opaque brown body topped by low tan head that recedes to ring. Leafy tobacco, sweet malts, bubblegum flavours and fair finishing bitterness. Medium body is quite dry with moderately strong, lightly prickly, fine-bubbled carbonation. Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Fest 2005.

Jul 28, 2005 Earthy deep brown, off-white head. Light truffles nose with a slight earthiness. Cigary nuances make it kind of smoky. Candyish berries on the palate, mostly dry as it warms up, lots of acidity from the yeast, the unpleasant kind. Resinous, herbal/vegetal finish comes out of nowhere. Light bodied, mellow carbonation. Average.

Jul 25, 2005 Draft at MSBF. Pours a dark speckled brown with a light tan head. Nose is doughy with some raisins and plums mixed in. taste is full bodied and doughy, with some sweet notes of plums and raisins. Quite a bit of malt and yeast come through. Small hints of cherries and cranberries and possibly a bit of apple mixed in.
