| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Apr 20, 2009 I had this on tap at the brew pub in Royal Oak, MI. It was a lot darker than I expected, and had no head. I actually really liked the caramel and slight tangy fruitiness on the finish. We ordered some soft pretzel sticks with cheese dip that went incredibly well with the beer. I think this should be at least an 80 overall. Cheers! doubelknv3 (568), Illinois, USA

Dark fruit, grain, and caramel flavours. Medium body and sweet. My cousin noted that it reminded him of chicken wings.... gearbike (418), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA

Fruity esters but a certain soapiness I can’t get past. Flavor quite nice. Plenty of dark fruit, prune, fig, and overripe banana. Again get a certain soapiness in the finish, really kills the beer for me. Re-rate in the near future. drinkallday (20), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 13, 2006 This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of finely sized white colored bubbles that was mostly lasting and left behind a hazy no visible carbonation brown colored body and a fair lacing. The weak aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt sweet and mild caramel. An OK brew just nothing special. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA

Small head that was mostly lasting, lackluster lacing, no visible carbonation, cloudy appearance, and an amber hue. Nose was lightly malty, some dark fruits, sweet and somewhat sugary. Flavor was malty, vinuous, hints of dark fruits, sugary, and a warming taste. Tingly, warming mouthfeel. Medium body.
