Draft at The Ship in Whitstable High Street. Copper brown in colour with a malty nose. Lots of toasty malt flavour and a pleasant bitter finish. Didn’t get much chocolate at all, so apparantly missed most of the point of this beer.....

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. An amber beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and flowers, and some odd spicy, soapy note. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and toffee as well as a lighter estery fruity note, leading to a dry nutty finish.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Planet Thanet 2008.
Golden brown with virtually no head to speak of. Nice malts and erm... firmly on the bland side. I’m sorry? What chocolate? Inoffensive session stuff...
