DownsouthGav (602), Greater London, England Apr 28, 2008 Bottle. Hoppy creamy nose. Taste is powdery and dry, with hops, some grass notes and carbonation. Aroma is unremarkable however the taste and mouthfeel are decidely below par. Carlus12 (361), London, Greater London, England Mar 14, 2008 Bottle. Amber colour, nice white head. Aroma is floral, hoppy, citrus, some caramel too. Taste is grassy, spicy, hops and toffee. Finish is dry and malty. Drinkable but by no means great. joe1961_2 (420), camberley, Surrey, England Feb 10, 2008 Bottle from Aldi. Pours a light copper colour with a thin white head. Thier is a hint of a metalic aroma. The taste is a bit bland it starts sweet and has a bitter finish. Had better from Batemans. maeib (3960), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Dec 28, 2007 Bottled. A copper coloured beer with no head. The aroma is cardboardy and boiled sweets with hints of toffee and caramel. The taste has malts and toffee and more obvious signs of pasteurization. A hint of banana. Not the best. DruncanVeasey (1633), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Nov 17, 2007 Newstead Shitfest 07. Oh dear. A bit of a stinker. Not much but sickly toffee, buttery biscuit and an incongruous note of astringent bitterness has survived the boil. Caramel aroma with a sniff of apple juice. Metallic, thin and briney. A hint of fruit as it warms up. Just about finishable pasteurised-to-death crappy bottled bitter. Tastes like Westvleteren back-to-back with Carling Premier, mind.
