pours a clear copper-red with a small white head that dissipates quickly, heavy carbonation, and some lacing. smell is faint, some spice, and a touch of malt. taste is over carbonated, some spice, a little sweetness in the back, caramel, a few hops, and grain, ends flat, and not much of an aftertaste.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, cookie), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, apricot), with notes of honey and tea. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation, lightly alcoholic. The aroma is nice enough, but the aftertaste is surprisingly dirty (as in actual dirt). Overly syrupy-sweet as well.

500 ml bottle. From København, Denmark.
Clear ruby red colour with small off-white head. Bitter aroma with caramel and metal notes. Flavour is bitterish with caramel and some butter. OK but not very Christmassy.

Pours deep clear amber into an English pint. Off-white soapy head quickly recedes to mottle surface. Sweet caramel and nut aromas. Sweet and full with upfront candied pecans turning slightly grassy in the lasting dry bitter finish. Tastes a little boozier than the 4.9 would indicate.

Bottle poured a clear dark amber with a lasting light amber head. Aromas of carmel, nuts, fruittiness and light earthiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, raisin, earthiness and light spice with a smooth lingering malty finish.

Kinda a soda pop head--it lasts longer, but it is big bubbled and leaves no lace. The liquid itself is crystal clear with a dark amber color. Lots of caramel, malty aroma in the smell. Quite sweet with a decent amount of hop for counter balance, but this is crystal malt flavored beer with residual maltose. Rich body with good carbonation levels. The aftertaste is mildly coy from the sugar with a hint of bitterness. Overall, this beer is all over the map. In short, I’d describe it as a poor man’s Samuel Smith’s Winter Warmer as it has a similar flavor profile.
