500 ml bottle. Orange golden body with a medium off-white head. Aroma is light malty and a bit fruity. Flavor is malt, bread and relatively bitter. Classic ordinary English bitter.

Reviewed 11/18/2008 (bottle dated 23 Sep 09): Foaming up as I pop the cap off. Pours A nice clear light brown body. Foamy cream-colored head, good lacing, somewhat lasting.Malty aroma, grainy, hay-like. Some musty spice in the nose. Real biscuity. Pleasant sweet smell. Biscuity taste, malty. A little like toasted bread. Somewhat watery. Sweet aftertaste. Nice session beer. Crisp tasting.

Bottle@Home. Sharp aroma, spices, light malty. Light hazy, amber, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, light malty, caramel, herbal. Medium body, ligh sticky. Ok, but bit boring.

Pour is a copper with a large white head. Aroma is not much. Some roasted malt is about all i’m getting off this one. Flavor is again very light with mostly roasted malt but it has a nasty metalic finish. This is not something i’m going to try again.

Two 500ml bottles at Blå Rock Cafe in Tromsø. Clear, golden-amber body with a lasting, white head. Malty to the nose followed by a malt-fruity taste with elements of hop resin. A flash of dry bitterness to the finish. Very average for the style (15th and 16th Oct. 2008).

Pours crystal clear amber with a soapy beige head. The aroma has sweet toasted malt, ringwood yeast qualities I don’t like, buttery and lightly metallic. The body is fairly light with lots of crispness and it has quite a bit of carbonation. The flavor starts off quite dry with the unwelcome ringwood yeast dirty funk, bone dry caramel and dry fruitiness. The finish is sour, tinny and buttery on the negative side, but there is a nice hoppiness to it. This beer has some stuff I like, but the overall this is not a beer for me.
