The scent is filled with mainly burned malt. The taste is also dominated with that same burnt, dry malt and some butter. A rather boring stout. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England

Not much inn the aroma. Touch of roasty malt in the flavour. Not a lot going on. Seemed rather light bodied for a stout - more like a mild. Drinkable but dull. Possibly not in peak condition - marked for re-rate.

Sour prune aroma with some toast and significant hops. Clear black-garnet with a lasting beige foam. Roasty flavour with some sweetness that is balanced by a black malt bitterness. Plenty of vanilla and coffee. Light to medium body, clean finish. MesandSim (5955), London, Greater London, England
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jul 7, 2009 A Sim rate: cask at the Bree Louise. Smells like a fresh espresso but only if you stick your nose right in. Disappointing appearance. Looks flat and lifeless. I expected better from the flavour, particularly after such a nice aroma. Slight diacetyl but otherwise a slightly creamy malty flavour that just about boarders on pleasant. Jonte (829), Gothenburg, Sweden
