(Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost black. Frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, liquorice, raisins, coffee and a touch of smoke. Malty, roasted taste with milky chocolate, smooth coffee, liquorice, dark fruit, some smoke and dark rye bread. Balanced cocoa bitterness. Body feels slightly thin, with just a touch of sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice and tasty porter.

[bottle] Sweet and roasty aroma with strawberry, vanilla, and coconut rum notes. Opaque dark brown with a beige ring and wisps. Velvety roasted malt coffee flavour and vanilla with a bitterness from the dark malt. Fruity notes: blood orange, pear, pineapple. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slight bitter finish.

From mini-keg at Haket in spring 2008. Almost black colour with a nuance of ruby. Not the greatest of heads. Dishwater, dark malts and smoke seem to be the most obvious aromas here. Flavour is lightly toasty and smokey, I would guess there is smoke malt here, unless the recipe was on display. Body is soft with a good balanced bitterness. Bit old style here with the peatiness and easily drinkable.

Bottle:
Pours dark -almost black- brown with a smallish head. Smooth toffee aroma with notes of smoke and peat. Flavour is coffee with a long roasty bitterness. A very quaff-able session porter.

Big brown head doesn’t last. Nearly black body is translucent at edges. Burnt dusty straw aroma with coke and licorice notes. Dryish-sweetish fruity burnt dusty taste. Light body. Soft mouthfeel. Dry burnt sooty pine needle aftertaste with resiny wooden notes. Some chocolate, too. Very nice! (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

500 ml bottle. A lightly tanned fingerthick head upon a dark ruby-brown body with good clarity. Plummy fruitiness, milk- chocolate and toasted dark malts in the aroma. Sourish-dry malt flavor with choco notes and suggestions of berries, dark bread and salty licorice. Distinct and fresh hopbitterness. Medium to light body. Slick mouthfeel. A pleasant, dry roasted maltiness in the ending. A nice one.
