Clear medium amber color with a small to average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, nutty notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20091122]

Nov 26, 2009 Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a deep amber with a neat creamy head. Typical skewed British hops in the nose with a little roast. Medium body only, roasted malts, a little nuts and a vague fruity whiff. Finish is lightly bitter with a vague citrusy touch. 221109

Nov 23, 2009 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a nice off-white and creamy head. Aroma is vague butterish and caramelish/toffeeish malty. Light sweet malt base with a light herbal hoppy note from back of the tongue. Subdued fruity note. Ends lingering herbal hoppy and into a dry finish.

Nov 4, 2009 Dark brown coloured beer almost cola-like. A really tiny and quickly evaporting, almost soap-like head. The scent is filled with syrupy malts and some lactose. The taste is dissapointingly watery, some malts and butter, and some hints of grassy hops. Even the mouthfeel is rather thin...

Aug 31, 2009 Smells of honey and a little bit of malt, a nice and sweet aroma. Looks great, though the head could be larger, but that could just be the style. Not sure if I like the taste - it’s overpowered by a strong bitter roasted barley over the sweeter malts and that creates a kind of bitterness in an English bitter that I can’t say I’m entirely fond of. Nonetheless it’s a respectable bitter and still pretty darned good.
