Golden in colour with next to no head. Fruity, citrus and yeast aroma. Flavour had the bananas and cloves, with some grain and caramel, before a dry finish. Unusual, enjoyable drinking.

An interesting attempt at a german style wheat beer. I suspect that there is not too much wheat involved, but there is an undeniable spiceyness and the german hops make this beer very different from our run of the mill golden ales. Good effort. hughie (3069), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England

Copper orange with a small white head. Faint spice and clove aroma. Wheat and sweet banana in the taste. Also some sourness. Slight dry finish. Some say this is not the genuine article, but I have to say I enjoyed it. leaparsons (4749), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

It’s not as bad as I feared. However, the Germans have nothing to fear from this. NOt enough wheat for a kick off, still trying to be an ale rather than a full on wheat beer. It does make the usual mistake of trying to fall between 2 stools. Not a golden ale not a full on hefeweizen.
