Ethereal (1458), London, Greater London, England Jul 2, 2009 On tap at some cafe in Utrecht, 11th June 09. A poor, bog standard premium lager. cyrenaica (400), Milton, Ontario, Canada Jun 30, 2009 500ml can

I tried this beer on June 29, 2009 after purchasing fropm one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent pale gold colour with a foamy, bubbly white head, and a ton of effervescent. The aroma was grassy malt, some off aromas, and hops. The mouthfeel was highly carbonated and light-bodied. The flavour was grainy malt with a bitter finish, and some peppery notes. Vertical Bacon Strips (581), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 22, 2009 Light hazy amber / orange in colour, so-so off-white cap (could be creamier), some spotty lacing. The aroma is soft all around but still thick. Lots of sweet malts - more than I expected. Some pine, the usual candy citrus (softer than the norm). I think I Need another one for review as I cannot nail the aroma down well enough. The hops (leafy, hot, pine, spicy, some grapefruit) are not super overpowering but are still very harsh (I like!!!). Bready malts. A decent blend of flavours but seems muted somehow. Full bodied, smooth all the way through, some mild alcohol bite, fading piney bitter finish. thewolf (4977), Kolding, Denmark Jun 8, 2009 Bottle. [thank you Skortila/caesar]
Pours clear golden with a medium, fizzy, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is grainy sweet, some lemony notes and green apples. Medium carbonation, rather thin and watery. Still, it maintains a fair dryness. Flavour, though, is mostly non-existent. Sweet and malty with a slight underlying grassy hops base. Still, it’s better than it’s 2.19 suggests. trapez (576), Hilleroed, Denmark May 29, 2009 Bottle. Malt aroma with a fruity note. Golden yellow colour with white head. Slightly sweet malt and fruit flavour with a nice hops aftertaste. tomer (269), Rishon Le Zion, Israel May 27, 2009 Can, thick creamy head that sticks to the sidesof the glass, clear yellow colour, just a bit pale, light malty aroma with a touch of herbs, and a sense of whipped cream, strong bitterness but with an alcoholic edge ruining the mouthfeel just a bit, long and extremely pleasant sour appley aftertaste.
Not a bad macro lager, but still only a macro lager. Foxbush (419), Richmond, Virginia, USA Apr 28, 2009 This was another beer tasted in Aruba while on a trip. We stayed in Oranjestad the capital. The beahes were beatutiful and the snorkeling on a barge super. Their beers were refreshing in the 90 degree climate.
