oh6gdx (6343), Vaasa, Finland Mar 24, 2008 canned (thanks tbone_!). Rubyish amber colour with mediumsized brown lively bubbly head, that disappears quite fast. Aroma is maize, mild metal, and some grainyness. Also some mild roasted notes. Flavour is mildly roasted malts with some mild dark fruits and mild syrup. A quite pleasant dar beer, which is a bit too sweet for my taste though. argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Jan 9, 2005 (bottle, best by 3/31/05) Medium tan head atop clear cola body. Aroma is medium sweet, cola, caramel, metallic. Taste is medium sweet, caramel/cola, faint tinniness, no bitterness. Light-medium body. TBone (5116), Pori, Finland Mar 12, 2008 Can, alc. 5.0 % (BB 04/2008)
Amber-nut brown color, small off-white head. Aroma of licorice and caramel. Light caramelly brew. There are hints of licorice and cardboardish hops in the flavor. Similiar than some Portuguese dark beers.
bierkoning (4935), La Tropica, Netherlands May 13, 2008 Can from TBone, thanks! Dark brown color. Malty caramelly aroma. Grainy sweetish caramelly flavor with apple. Somewhat thin and sticky, but not unpleasant. Maria (4439), Thisted, Denmark Mar 7, 2008 Dark brown mahogany with an Ok head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and sweetness - "hvidtøl" and caramel. The flavour has sweetness, notes of roasted malt, light citrus, caramel and a slightly dry finish. A bit weak, but otherwise quite OK.
