Dec 13, 2004 Great ruby colour and fine clean head. There is a good nose here but not a wheat note as indicated. My only expeience with Bavaria is the really cheap beer you get in 4 packs in the local grog shop chain. This is really well balanced, nicely flavoured with chocolate and crystal malts and a real treat to drink. One again as a AH specal for abut .50 euros it is a beauty.

Oct 7, 2003 Perhaps it's because it's the beginning of the bock-season and i'm not able to compare this one to other bocks, or perhaps i just really like the style, but this bock from the mediocre brewery Bavaria is pretty damn good. More chocolat and roasted flavours than in other bocks. Nice!

Sep 28, 2003 Aroma is little yeasty, little caramel, light caramel. Redbrown color, light brown head, good lace. Sweet, chocolat, light bitterness, light roasted. More bitter and more roasted in the finish.

Dec 9, 2008 Deep red colour. Clean aroma, alittle sweet and some malt present. Pleasant, smooth texture. Light sweetness, warm toasty malts. Good autumn bock beer.

Oct 31, 2009 Can that ogivlado brought from Holland and shared with me and heavy (thanks!)<>br Poured a ruby-brown body with a medium sized beige head, nice. Fruity nose, rosehip jam, maybe mixed fruit jam, ending dry and grainy. The taste is fruity again, rosehip tea now. Fine and malty but no hops. Ok, drinkable and even tasty even if it’s not a world beater.

Nov 8, 2009 Canned 500ml. -found somewhere in Amsterdam. Ruby red coloured, medium sized pale beige head, pleasant fruity nose. Sweet malty, again pleasant fruity and caramel with sweet jam like fruity finish. Mild alcoholic presence. Surprisingly good strong Bavaria.

Oct 7, 2003 It's indeed a very good bok. I had several bocks already this year. And this one is certainly one of the better macro-brews. It has a sweet malty smell. Clear brown-red coloured. Taste is chocolate-malty sweet. Just a bit sticky and a smooth palate.

Oct 6, 2003 Clear brown color, short brown head. Aroma of chocolat malts, light roasted. Sweet taste, soft chocolat, bit roasted malts. Surprisingly good actually. Bit metallic palate however.
