It was called Bavaria Holland Beer and was definitely 5%. Malty aroma later settling to hints of chemicals. Very clear in appearance. Surprisingly sweet with a little flavour of hops and malt. Had a cheap feel to it but drink this after San Miguel you would think it was the finest Bavarian beer ever. matt7215 (956), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Can. Medium gold. Forward aroma boasts your typical lager profile of grain, hops and malt. Standard lager-like palate. Unfortunately, the flavour is not nearly as forward as the aroma, offering simple glimpses of cereal, hop bitterness and a touch of caramel. About as average as a lager gets. wcampbell (576), Central, South Carolina, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Golden colour, white head. Not much of an aroma. Not much of a taste, too watery. cheapdark (2015), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Don’t ya just love those green bottles? Date code 1719, aged well! My bottle did not say pilsner on it, it said Bavaria Holland Beer. Sometimes these out of country labels are difficult to ID for a rating. Pop the lid and there is immediately a short pungent veggie cabbage aroma. Once poured it mellows into a simple, clean and perhaps sweet smell. Looks like any other ubiquitous pale yellow American lager. Taste is a little pinchy, like an instigating pilsner. A small back of throat mild bitter linger hangs for a while. Good medium carbonation. Has a very thin froth on top for a head. Stacks up well against American pale lagers and perhaps even pilsners. Overall not bad but could have a few more manners. For a lager it is too much and for a pilsner it is not enough. After a few chugs there is this industrial hint of alcohol lurking around on the back of the tongue.
