Hoppy grassy and malty aroma; medium body. Finish is little bitter hoppy. Medium premium Lager. hagisu (42), Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 31, 2006 Not much aroma or distinctive flavour. Almost neutral, very minimal hops. A weak pilsner as far as flavour and aroma are concerned. DruncanVeasey (2710), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 23, 2006 Pleasantly skunky pale gold Pils not a million miles from Grolsch. Sweet malt, grassy hops and a touch of grainy biitterness in the finish. Not as blandly generic as expected. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Aroma is kind of a celophane-like plastic, but other than that nada. Hardly smeels like anything made of a beer ingredient.

The body is a bright gold, clear and supports a fairly lasting white head that is frothy, but mostly composed of varying sizes of bubbles.

Watery fore is mostly flavorless before it finishes with a lightly sweet malt note. Not worth your time or money. It does have a somewhat decent mouthfeel for the style, but since it tastes of so little what is the point? KingofCastle (202), London, Ontario, Canada
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Nov 22, 2006 Updated: Jun 5, 2008500 mL can: This just tastes like dozens of other lages on the LCBO shelves. Nothing remarkable here: think Stella, Heinken, Faxe, etc.. After Ekstra & Headstrong, this just tastes way too thin. YEARS LATER ON TAP: i run my own experiment - a pint that tastes like corn, and other harsh chemical ingredients, awful aftertaste, very pale, this is bad .. . . THEN A FRESH PINT OF STEAMWHISTLE - flavour, quality ingredients, it actually looks darker and tastes far superior . . . a pint of Bavaria as a chaser might make you appreciate STEAMWHISTLE more! life is too short, drink a STEAMWHISTLE CelticBrew (691), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 5, 2006 Pours out typical gold, somewhat pale. Aroma of stale heinekins. The taste was uninspiring. Cheap rip off. OK beer for odd occassions, or given to me for free. Other that that I dont buy/drink it. Dogbrick (2855), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 3, 2006 Pours a clear pale yellow color with a medium bone white head without much retention. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is grainy malt with a bit of hops. Light-bodied and clean mouthfeel with mild malt and hops flavors. The finish is sweet malt and fruit with a touch of hops on the back end. Overall this beer is a straightforward Pils/Lager that is instantly forgotten. kimcgolf (828), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2006 I was expecting a Heineken-type of dutch import, but it was actually somewhat better than that. Poured the expected light golden color with white head, but unlike others of its type, the head lingered for the entire glass and left very good lacing. Has the typical grainy lager aroma, but the taste is flavorful, and the finish is smooth. This actually was not too bad of a beer.
