| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Jun 16, 2004 Although the label on my bottle said "Premium Pils", this was the 5% export version, so I guess it belongs here. Premium, my arse. Although it just managed to muster a slight head when poured, there were no bubbles at all after that and the mouthfeel was horribly flat and dull. Mid gold colour. Vaguely malty aroma, but a bit skunky. Some bitterness in the mouth, but generally bland. Pretty poor stuff. 660ml bottle from Tesco.

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 13, 2004 Appearance: crystal-clear yellow color, with a smallish white head.
Aroma: sweet and cornish, what there is of it, typical lagery smell, with only the faintest whiffs of citrus, flowers.
On palate: sweet, clean, brisk, and actually kind of tasty. Light body. Absolutely no finish, it vanishes as soon as you realized that it was there!
Texture, what there is, dies quickly, too. A simple sweetness resides in the back of the throat, until it croaks, too.
Sweetness continues, to the point of unpleasantness. I do like sweetness in a beer, yes, but only when accompanied by hops, malt, body, texture, taste, etc. Mouthfeel, body, everything is quite forgettable. That serves some people fairly well, but not I.
Not that bad, actually, just not very good. And, lucky me, I chose a pint can to sample. Wee, wee, wee, all the way home!

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2004 Gonna have to disagree with many of the raters on this one. It was actually much better than I expected. Enjoyed it much more than the Dinkelacker I had last night, which was overly bitter. The Bavaria poured a clear gold, aroma is very pilsner - malt and hops with just a slight sour undertone. Flavor was a subtle blend of malt and hops with a touch of sweetness. A touch of hop bitterness in the finish, slightly tart. Altogether a decent brew. A notch above Heinekin in my opinion. Probably still overpriced, but as I got a single for $1.28, I’m not complaining. TheBeerGod (3147), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Jun 10, 2004 Pours yellow with a medium foamy white head. Aroma is a bit skunky but still has some sweetened tones underlying it. Taste is a bit hoppy but is mixed with a flat sweetness. Mouthfeel is carbonated and a bit stale feeling. Finish is slightly bitter. Not very good at all. PeterA (339), Virginia, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 9, 2004 Maybe something on the trip from Holland to Mexico didn’t agree with this, but it smells off. The appearance is disappointing, dark yellow with a short lived head. Flavor, well...not great, the hops are there, but it has an unpleasant bitterness. The aftertaste is also an unpleasant bitter. Overall, it’s just not a very good beer. MrBeerUSA (40), HorseShoe, North Carolina, USA

Satnds up well against your other standards- Stella, Hieneken, etc. I see it on sale around here all the time, sometimes for as little as $8 for 12. Great "pool" beer.
