It was actually much better than I expected. Enjoyed it much more than the Dinkelacker I had last night, which was overly bitter. The Bavaria poured a clear gold, aroma is very pilsner - malt and hops with just a slight sour undertone. Flavor was a subtle blend of malt and hops with a touch of sweetness. A touch of hop bitterness in the finish, slightly tart. Altogether a decent brew. A notch above Heinekin in my opinion. Probably still overpriced, but as I got a single for $1.28, I’m not complaining. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA

Some hops, but in general the taste is pretty muted... like many Euro lagers. All in all, nothing to exciting. OKBeer (1159), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Pours a sparkling clear gold with tons of rising bubbles and a loose, frothy white head that diminishes quickly. Decent lacing. Skunk on the initial pour; shocker given the green glass. Given time, however, the aroma clears to reveal a lightly sweet macro-esque lager nose with just a whisper of dry grass in the background. Light-bodied and slick with a dry, lightly bitter and somewhat metallic finish. A sweet malt front with a lightly bitter end that lingers far too long for my liking. For a lager, it’s not awful, but it certainly doesn’t inspire me to drink another. piscator34 (1129), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Canned sample. Golden in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of slightly sticky pale malts, and a wiff of grassy hops. Simplistic pale malt flavors to start, followed by some harsh/husky grain notes, with a solvent-like finish. Pretty basic stuff.... vaguely drinkable.
