O.K. your wife is having a party! You don't want a bunch of non-beer loving types sucking up all the nice stuff that you've been squirreling away, but you won't resort to suitcases from the Big 3, what to do?? BAVARIA!! It's imported, green bottle doesn't taste too bad, and they won't know the difference anyway! Plus it is cheapppp!

Much sweeter than expected, no skunk at all, which was a surprise. May have purchased the bber the way this brewer meant it to be served. Holland may be saved.

500 ml can from LCBO, just another generic Eurolager. Similar to Heineken, slightly more enjoyable though since there was not as much skunk and priced better as well.

Don’t ya just love those green bottles? Date code 1719, aged well! My bottle did not say pilsner on it, it said Bavaria Holland Beer. Sometimes these out of country labels are difficult to ID for a rating. Pop the lid and there is immediately a short pungent veggie cabbage aroma. Once poured it mellows into a simple, clean and perhaps sweet smell. Looks like any other ubiquitous pale yellow American lager. Taste is a little pinchy, like an instigating pilsner. A small back of throat mild bitter linger hangs for a while. Good medium carbonation. Has a very thin froth on top for a head. Stacks up well against American pale lagers and perhaps even pilsners. Overall not bad but could have a few more manners. For a lager it is too much and for a pilsner it is not enough. After a few chugs there is this industrial hint of alcohol lurking around on the back of the tongue.

Can. Pours clear yellow with small white short-living head. Malt with hop notes on the nose, and fairly rounded mouthfeel, if slightly bitter. Not the worst.

Pale yellow color, light sweet malt aroma, nothing special in this one, not bad at all.
