| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 14, 2002 Tried this one next to a Hollandia. I found this one to have less of a flowery aroma, and more of a ’cracker-like’ malt flavor. A little more bitterness too... less aroma. Has a relatively dry finish. Crisply carbonated. Like the Hollandia, it was cheap (about $4.50 a 6-pack). As I said with the Hollandia, if you’re in search of a ’light-tasting’ beer, it’s well worth the money. Otherwise, it didn’t have enough personality to keep my attention. An inexpensive, imported lawnmower beer at best. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), lightly hoppy (herbs), hint of DMS. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Sampled in the same flight with Heineken and Grolsch; this fell in between the two. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 26, 2007 Pours a bright clear golden with a thin-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of slightly skunked earthy hops and pale grain with just a hint of sweetness. Starts lightly sweet with some faint toasty biscuity notes and a sprinkling of Saaz hops. Body is pretty thin and watery without much character at all. I guess this would be refreshing on a hot summer’s day, but otherwise, it gives Bavaria a bad name.
