Commercial Description:
Headbangerz Brown Ale is based on an English brown ale style. Its color is a demonic, dark reddish-brown. This beer is subtly sweet and punctuated with roasty, nutty flavors. The hops take a back seat and simply complement the malt character. Headbangerz Brown Ale is perfect for any Autumn outdoor activities or for relaxing on Summer evenings. Headbangerz Brown Ale is named in honor of Barbarian Chief's, Mike Hiller, hardworking former co-workers – heavy metal freaks and masters of metal fabrication. 5% ABV

On tap at the brewery. Another brown ale, served a bot too cold. Drinkable, licorice, mollasses, a bit nutty. Middle brown colour with some lace dots. Drying, though odd bitterness to it.

22oz bottle served in an English pint glass. Pours clear brown with some red highlights near the edges, has a half inch of semi-lasting tan head. The smell is sweet and enticing with some notes of toffee and cocoa. Has a fruity English ale kind of flavor with a bit of roasted character. Thin bodied with medium carbonation. Average for the style and very easy to drink.

Pours a murky dark chestnut brown color with golden amber notes when held to a light source and a 1.5 finger yellowish beige head that has good retention, slowly fading into a lasting ring that leaves sporadic splotches of lacing. Sweet malty aroma with hints of nut, slightly roasted malt and slight earthy hops. Crisp medium body with a nutty caramel maltiness as well as some hazelnut, sweet light fruit and a nice hoppy presence that provides a nice balance and a dry finish.

Lightly hazy brown with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, toffee, toast, and nuts. Taste of caramel, nuts, and toffee, with a semi-sweet finish. Thanks Mike!

Pours hazy mahogany with ruby edges and off-khaki head. Nose is malty, earthy, with notes of nuts and citrus. Tastes malty, nutty, with fig, brown sugar, and back up hops.

Brown color with a small head. Aroma has some toast and grain with some dirty aroma. Flavor has some earth and toasted grain, a little thin but drinkable, balanced flavor.

Brewed in the USA... Bottle from Wegmans !!! Pours a hazy chestnut color with a thin fizzy off white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of malts, caramel, nuts and brown sugar. Taste of caramel, nuts and sweet malts. Mouthfeel is kind of zesty, yet very thin in body with some lingering earth or wood flavors. Average, but still worth a try !!!

Bottle courtesy of Santa. (kkearn) Pours a slightly thicker than expected deep hazy brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is nuts, caramel, and a touch of SOURNESS. Santas elves must have spiked my bottle. Flavor is noticably sour, rodenbach, la roja come to mind but this beer is only half way there. I don’t think this is intentional, but I like it. Chocolate and nuts as well as a earthiness linger in the finish. I wouldn’t even enter this rating, but I like this more than I probably would have liked it as a regular brown ale.
