| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 16, 2006 Updated: Jul 10, 2008330ml bottle. Almost clear yellow body with a decent white head. The little aroma it has (not much) is your average generic Belgian Ale fruity/yeasty scent. The mouthfeel was sandy and again very generic (fruity/yeasty). Decent beer but nothing to write home to your mother about…. provided that you write home to your mother about beer… in which case you really need to get a life… Cornfield (4979), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 5, 2006 I’m giving this a "4" rating for presentation & entertainment value, since it’s such a ridiculously difficult beer to pour. The head explodes into a HUGE rocky mass that leaves me waiting an appreciable time before I can attempt the smell, let alone the taste. Nice clear golden body. After that, it’s a fairly sad representation of the tripel style. Very weak aroma of light malts, raw bread dough, and a light citric scent. (I can’t figure out which fruit, it’s so light.) Light malt flavor with a touch of citric tartness and black pepper and a slightly sour finish. My bottle lists the abv as 7.5% rather than the 7.2% on the beer’s page, but it’s virtually undetectable. Uninspired, but drinkable.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 7, 2006 Cloudy yellow color, with a nice rocky white head, with lacing, yeasty nose, with floral hops, pale malt, citrus fruitiness aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a zesty and tingling fruitiness on the tongue, good citrus floral hops character, with a grassy note, leading towards a hint of sweetness and a hops bittering finish.
