I’m rating this under the Abbey Tripel entry for the Pilaarbijter despite the label from my sample being dark (see Bruin) than light - my sample’s label had "tripel" printed on it. This brew was a sticky gusher with a very dark body and of course wonderful head. A nice, fruity, and welcome acidity does well with its sugary sweetness. It was pretty tame, but I enjoyed it.

een middelmatig troebele goud kluer. En een fruitsmaak met een licht droge afdrong

On tap at Bière Mondial 2009, Strasbourg. Pours a pale yellow with a white head and lacings. Sweet with some dryness. Lots of bog myrtle aromas. Aslo some hints of metals. Light bodied. Medium carbonation. Malty finish.

Bottle, 33 cl. Golden beer with some bubbles and a huge white head. Malty and fruity smell. Tha taste: whoever told me this is bitter didn’t drink a bitter beer yet! OK, there are some hops and there is some bitterness, but this is fore all a malty beer, with some fruits next to it, with a far from special taste which makes the beer boring after a while. This beer is also, as the last one I drunk yesterday, the cause of a little headache :)

Bottle from Bierkoning. Golden body with heavy head. Cheesy nose. Strong taste of fruits, lemons, cheese and malts. Very good Tripel-like. Enjoyable.

330mL bottle, 7.5% ABV. Very heady, white and fizzy sitting on top of a clear golden body. Aroma of moldy lemons, bread, band-aid, and blue cheese. Flavor is fizzy. Lemons, dry malt, some cheese. Very fizzy. Light bodied.

At vonk slijterij in zaandam, huge white head, clear golden, some grain and corny bits, some fruits like citrus and lots of sweet caramel, a bit to sweet, but nice one.

bottle, golden/yellow colour. Huge white head in a strange glass. Smell: fruity. Taste: yeasty, bitter, hoppy, fruity, watery. The beer gets boring after some time. It isn’t bad but also not at all a top beer!
