| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Bottled. Brown colour with beige head. Leaves some slight lace. Aroma is caramel, spices and some fruits. Quite strong zest coming through. Flavour is sweet malts with spices, herbs and some fruits. Also some candyish sweetness noteable, which bothers me a bit in the flavour. Otherwise a rather nice beer. Fantomasus (122), USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 17, 2008 330ml bottle from the Bier Tempel, Brussels. Initial malty brown sweetness settles into a chalky dryness. Foamy carbonation. There’s a lack of character and oomph, though it’s a pleasant enough drink. The strength doesn’t initially make itself felt but it does accumulate. Some fruit. A lot of familiarity. DruncanVeasey (2753), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Fizzing cola brown heaped with yellowy froth. Attractive roasted malt aroma wafting with waxy dark fruit, mouldering strawberry, alcohol, coffee, possibly honey. Damp, earthy, slightly chocolatey and coffeeish like a strong English mild or robustly malty bitter. Fruity, fizzy and roasted. Weird but good. ha1ag (423), Maastricht, Netherlands

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Bottle (330ml) shared with HogTownHarry & GregClow -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy amber-brown with a large fluffy beige head. Sweet aroma of malt, candi sugar, dark fruit, honey and a light sourness. The flavour for the most part follows the aroma but there’s not as much flavour as the aroma suggests and the finish is slightly harsh. Average bodied. A good, not great, run of the mill Belgian Ale.
