MartinT (4345), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 7, 2005 The Lure: Uberthick and creamy head smothers the fruity esters surging from the yeast. Gorgeous appearance, but that aroma needs help.
The Festivities: Blueberries materialize in the whipped creamy feel, but yeast decides it owns the whole place and acts rude all the way down. Sweetness is powdery, and overall flavors are faint. An okay, second-tier Belgian ale.
Transcendence: It’s harder to prove your individuality when you dress the same as everyone else in the crowd.

OK BoBoChamp (656), Gent, Belgium Jul 20, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, yet complex, clear, rocky head, nice brew joohefner (379), Isla Vista, California, USA Jul 2, 2008 Pours a murky brown-maroon color with thin tan frothy head. It has a light sweet chocolate and phenol aroma. Smooth body with a slight stickiness. Caramel and chocolate flavor with some tart cherries and a light spiciness. The tartness is unexpected and makes me wonder whether it was a bad bottle or a flemish influence. Drinkable but lacks depth.
