Flavor is better than the aroma. Some creamy graininess going on. Fair amount of bitterness. Not too bad. bdjames29 (272), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

I thought this to be a pretty good pilsener - not that I have tried that many. Bright, light golden color. Refreshing, crisp, fruity and natural. Earthy beer. I really enjoyed it. I’d drink it again. cheapdark (2046), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 15, 2006 Updated: Jul 11, 2008I’ve been waiting to try a bavik.....since 1894! 11.2 oz brown bottle. Pop lid for a veggie skunk plant aroma. After pour, aroma clears to yeasty grin. Slightly cloudy pale yellow. A hard cement bite is on the initial flavor hit. This is followed by an industrial flavor that I can appreciate. It has the affection of a wit or a hefe. Finish is rather nice and non-offensive without bitterness. Easily enjoyable, I liked this better than Urquell. LinusStick (1851), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 1, 2006 Even though I am not a big fan of Pilsners, this one just doesn’t rate. I went in knowing I would not like it very much, came out knowing it was worse. Light pale color with no head and not much carbonation. The sweet taste in the beginning ruined everything for me after that. I expected more from you, Belgium. Shame on you. SledgeJr (2972), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Is this a Stella clone? Has a doughey aroma that was cool, but this golden daisy yellow snoozer seems too much like a Stella to me. Fine white head. ehhdayton (1115), USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Light aroma of some malt and hops. The pour is golden and with a white head however, there is a substantial amount of large particulate matter floating in the beer. Flaovr is mildly malty with a light crisp finish. themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 7, 2006 One of the best Pilsner’s I’ve had. Not a distinctive type of beer. Medium-light body, not as smooth as expected, but a clean ending and aftertaste. Not worth the $5.25 I spent on the pint... pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

Poured a dark straw color with a white rocky head. Moderate carbonation.
Aromas of fresh white bread, grassy-herbal hops and some mustiness.
Medium bodied, peppery mouth feel.
Started with modest bready malts then a rush of herbal-woody hopping to give good balance....light vanila tones.....crisp clean finish that goes dry and slightly bitter.
Not a great pilsner but a good one and a variation on the style that is unique.
