| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Pours a cloudy straw color, with carbonated white head. Aroma and flavor similar with yeast, tiny amounts of hop and malt both hidden, mostly mediocre on a good day. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 27, 2005 (11.2 oz bottle: $1.24 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) I think this is the first Belgian beer I’ve poured that didn’t have any yeast in the bottle. It pours a hazy, pale straw body, and the white head is bubbly and creamy for about a minute before diminishing to a thin but complete layer. Citrus and light, husky grain are the primary components of the aroma, so it doesn’t smell bad, but isn’t strongly compelling me to drink the beer either. Mostly, it’s my duty as a rater of beers that pushes me forward. The flavor is grainy, slightly corn-like, mildly bitter, minimally sweet and takes on a very slight smoky character in the finish. Light bodied and easy to drink, but most definitely not watery. Perhaps one of the least interesting Belgian beers I’ve had, but it’s not bad at all. Firemoose15 (542), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA

Pour was a golden yellow foamy white head. Taste was pretty bland a slight hint of yeastiness but that’s it. Fantomas23 (463), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA

I suspect that European pilsener-style connoisseurs might find something in this, but I was unimpressed. All that’s not to say it’s a horrid brew, but nothing really to write home about either. (Although, apparently, it’s enough about which to write a review.)

Some hops and vanilla in the flavor. Hints of apple anfd boiled milk. Malty. The slightest touch of metal. Drinkable. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 20, 2005 Pours a good lookin enough beer, brilliant gold until I poured in the yeast at the bottom..a bottle conditioned pils? Big foamy head. Has a lot of fruit - apricot, apple showing its Belgian heritage. Not as crisp as it should be, but makes up for it with its own flavors. May have been an old bottle.
