I found notes from tasting this at a bar quite some time back. I quite liked this beer and hope to drink it again soon! There were lots of chunks, and the beer was very bubbly. The aroma reminded me quite a bit of Pilsner. Taste was refreshing (again like a pilsner, per my notes) Lemon & spice flavors, with a tart but still malty flavor.

I used this beer as an aperitif for me and my buddies beer dinner the other night. It served it’s purpose well. It had a very light spritzy body to accompany it’s fizzy yellow colorl. Aromas were tart, spicy, and slightl;y estery. The taste was very lemony with mild spicey notes, with salt becoming more and more noticible on the finish. Really got the apetite going before a lovely dinner.

Pale yellowl, lightly hazy with active carbonation and a stable head. Wheaty, yeasty, slightly meaty aroma with some bubblegum and a hint of coriander. The coriander is more noticeable in the flavor. The salt is apparent in the finish. Spritzy, tart and refreshing with mellow a wheat character. I could drink gallons of this stuff.

Slightly sweet. A tad bit acidic kind of a lemoney/ citrusy. I like it.I liked the bottle and asked the beer room dude about it and he said that it was worth trying. He was right.

11.2 oz bottle

This was a little pricy for the style but given that I’ve never tried a gose it was worth $3.99. I would probably not opt to purchase it again for that reason but it was a very enjoyable experience. As far as light sessionable beers go this is worth a try if you can find it on sale (or happen to be in Europe where I imagine it is cheaper).

Aroma / Appearance - A short lived white head rushes to the top of the small sampler glass. Below was a golden body which did not trap any light at all. The scent of tartness and sourness filled my nostrils reminded me of a Berliner Weiss. Mangos, lemon bars and graham crackers smelled like a fruity morning buffet.

Flavor / Palate - The sourness and tartness immediately hit the throat followed by oranges. The lingering sourness dried out the mouth within ten minutes. It could be compared to a kristallweizen in the sense that it is like a light hefeweizen. For price per ounce it can be beat. If you want something off the beaten path though this is worth checking out.

Bottle. Pours a light amber with a small white head. Aroma of corriander, lemon, wheat, and some citrus. Flavor is wheat, corriander, grassy hops, lemon and has a light tartness with a light to medium body and a dry finish.

[WBA styles tasting] Hazy golden yellow color. Flowery, perfume aroma.. almost like heather. Fruity pebbles? Primarily sour flavors, but not overpowering. Not really "musty", but very gueuze like. Mellow saltiness.. again, not overpowering in any way. Lemon/citrus finish, with a slight coriander aftertaste. Very subtle phenols. Overall, amazingly complex; this definitely blurs the lines of several styles.

Bottle from Winking Lizard. This brew is a cloudy yellow-gold color with a thick white head that diminishes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus and yeast. Medium-bodied with a tart fruity character, and flavors of yeast and spices along with mildly sweet wheat. The finish is fruity and leaves a tart citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.
