The Dan Journal #152. Tasted 1/25/08. 330ml bottle. Hazy and sedimented. Murky yellow hue. White webbed head. Herbal corriander orange nose. Yeasty grainy wheat note. Light to medium bodied with strong orange citrus flavors. Tart sour cherries. Mildly bitter. Crisp and sticky. Fun and good easy drinking!

Bottle from Belmont station. Pours a golden/straw color with light haze. Dense head with great clinging of lace. The aroma is very pleasant and subtle. Notes of coriander, banana, wheat presence and lemon zest. The taste is very thirst quencing. The coriander and salt from this brew make it the gatorade of beers! I could drink this all night long and hope to this summer if it’s still available. Great unique style!

Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is corriander with some lemon and spices. Flavor is fruity with some lemon and corriander again but with a touch of wheat and spice. Finish is dry and sour. Kind of like a toned down Berliner Weiss and decent enough to get a few bottles of.

On tap at the brewery. Looks really good in the glass. Fruity aroma. Tastes very sourish in the beginning, but also fruity. The finish is modest dry. Something really special, but a good experience.

A bit of funk on the aroma with a nice cloudy amber hue. Decent head with additional aromas of coriander. Pleasant and refreshing with a nice bit of mouthfeel. A bit of lemon peel on the flavour and aftertaste. Some decent complexity in this one.

Thanks to David for the bottle! Poured a lovely shade of medium caramel with a creamy cap of white head. The aroma picked up lots of soft peppery spices, a bit of wheat tartness, and undercurrents of fruit peel sourness... quite nice! The flavor had a dry, dusty wheat backbone with peppery spices and tart fruity notes building around the edges and through the finish.. spices were a little much for me, but this was certainly refreshing.. sticky bananas and spices on the finish. Lighter, bodied, sour, dry, and very refreshing on the palate.. high carbonation.. this was well-done, and grew on me as I drank it. 7 4 6 4 14

Sampled 6/1/08. Poured hazy lighter golden with a short, fine-bubbled cap of white head. The aroma picked up coriander spicage and pineapple upfront with a bit of floral appeal.. lemon zest accents. The flavor was similar with light, fresh fruits paired with dry peppery spices and lemon zest.. complex, tasty, and refreshing. Light, dancing kind of feel on the palate with a delicate balance of spices, tartness, and fruit.. refreshing.

Pours a cloudy, golden color with a nice white head. Odd, sweet cigar aroma, pipe tobacco maybe... Candy sugars and malt dominate here, strange sourness, and even stranger dry, parching finish. Worth searching out.

Very fresh nose of wheat, grapes, and spice. Pours sparkling clover honey amber. The tall and stiff frothy white fully lasting headthat leaves good lace. The flavor is laced with a heavy acidity that mixes with the dried fruit presence to form a bittersweet tartness that is very interesting and enjoyable. The finish is relatively brief. The light body is super creamy and soft. The finish is crisp. What a great surprise!
