Well damnit if I’m not glad I bought this last bottle at Eagle Provisions. (off notes from 2-2007) Pours a clouded amber gold. Nose is yeasty and citrus. Flavor is yeasty, slightly wheaty and leaves a long citric flavor on the tongue. It seems like a cross between a Belgian brew and a German. Quite interesting really. Definite spice influence, though I have to admit that my palate for spices is immature, so I can’t pick them out as I should be able to. On the mouth it is low in carbonation but slightly thick in ingredients. Extremely drinkable. Like I said, this was the last bottle to be had where I bought it. If you see it, go for it.

Decent frothy white head with good carbonation. Spicey aroma with some light wheat and yeast overtones. Color is medium, slightly cloudy, golden orange. Flavor is quite smooth and good.

Draft. Aroma: Wheat malt, light spice (which doesn’t seem like coriander at all), lemon, and a light caramel and toast note. Appearance: Pale yellow in color and cloudy. White head was small and foamy with fair retention. Not much lacing. Flavor: Lightly toast and wheat, yeast and very light caramel. Tart lemon has a nice sourness to it. The salt comes in mid-taste and lingers into the finish. Salt adds a richness and roundness to the whole thing. Medium-sweet finish. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: First time I’ve had this style, and I really liked it. Refreshing and tasty. The salt was interesting and definitely enhanced the beer.

Cloudy copper color, medium fine head. Aroma slightly wheaty, spicy but not distinctly coriander, and seemingly salty, perhaps like the smell of the ocean. A bare hint of melanoidin. Flavor, I have to say, is not unlike an American wheat. I detect no esters nor phenols at all. Just the same generic spiciness in the nose, and a definitely lingering saltiness, which certainly makes this one unique. Pleasingly soft, almost full, mouthfeel. Only vaguely tart, I can’t really get any lactic character out of it.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy, pale yellow body filled with dark floaties and a topped by a thinning white head. Smell: Lightly tart lemon wheat aroma that has, for me, only a mild coriander presence, but a good bit of saltiness to it, like standing near the ocean. Taste: Wheat base imparting a gentle sweetness rounded out by soft citrus notes and a light spicing of coriander. Both the salt and the lactic qualities present themselves in the dry, lasting finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: I am totally powerless to resist it’s refreshing uniqueness. Everyone wins when they play Duck, Duck, Gose.

Pours a hazy light yellow color with a white head. Aroma is salty, sour, and wheat. Flavor is bitter, salty, and a bitter finish. Cool looking bottle.

Pours a brownish-amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of spices, toasted malts, caramel and sweet malts, and some creaminess. Flavor starts off with just a slight hint of coriander then it gives way to the toasted and caramel malts. FInishes with a little bit of saltiness to it. Overall this wasn’t bad, it was quite interesting, but not bad at all.
