Commercial Description:
Leipziger Gose is a top-fermenting wheat beer {60% wheat, 40% barley malt} with coriander, salt, and lactic acid bacteria added in the boil. It is a 4.6% alc/vol eclectic beer whose name evokes a close relationship to the renowned Lambic/Geuze breweries in the Valley Senne nearby Brussels, Belgium.

Draught served at 42˚ Appearance was bright clear golden with a large white head that disappears rapidly and leaves good lacing. Smell was almost non-existent, just very slight citrus. Taste is bubblegum and sour banana, nice slightly bitter finish, long-lasting. Classic example of a weizen, very drinkable, to be sought after.

Draft – Churchkey. Cloudy gold, creamy white head. Aromatic nose of milky citrus and salty pineapple warms to a light sour yeasty undertone. Swirls of tart fuzzy fruit flavors balance well on a delicate touch of orange and spice. Extremely refreshing. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, dry, fruity spice finish. A fantastic beer that’s well underrated in my opinion. Maybe it’s a whole different animal on draft…

From a funky shaped bottle poured almost like champagne, clear golden color lots of head. Flavor of mild tart hoppy with a quick finish.

Light apricot-colored pour with full white sheet of froth. Nose is nice and fruity with notes of apricot, a little salt, and a nice controlled coriander element...probably the cleanest coriander profile I have ever smelled. Flavors have a very faint but natural essence of apricot, in a very vivid and nice way. Coriander and salt compliment this lightly...but seriously, this is some very well made shit. Its remarkably complex in its subtleties...each element diconstructed enough to concentrate on...but still connected to equal beer.

Light yellow, unclear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Aroma of malt, acid, grain. Flavor starts sweet, quickly acidic. Soft carbonation.
