Densely clouded amber hue, floating black particles, fine streams of carbonation. Clean malty wheat aroma, mild clove, fairly peppery and salty. Pretty clean malty palate with mild banana touches, salty especially in the finish. I love salty flavors but overall the beer just needs a little something else from somewhere. Unique in style but doesn’t really stand out. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 7, 2004 Burning paper (?), salty aroma with some citrusy notes. Intriguing and bizarre. Hazy dull amber with shy, white, fully-diminishing head. Sharp pear-like flavour is vegetal and has salty and sufurous notes to it with a sour finish. Smooth fair carbonation but light almost watery body. And our bottle didn’t look nearly as pretty as the picture! Sampled with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 5, 2004 Very cloudy amber, nice color. Gentle 1cm white head, no carbonation apparent. Wild aroma, salty hops with a little matchstick, faint malt and lemony hints. A bit empty body-wise, it tastes rather meaty, vegetal, mineral, all over a tart background a bit like sour bread and rhubarb. Sour and Salty ain’t no friends. Light body, light carbonation. Bleh, hopefully the other gose defends this style better, because this one is one of those select few that deserves more points for the appearance than taste. footy (334), scottsdale, Arizona, USA

A briney aroma with some floral undertones. A salty spicy taste. Appropriately light mouthfeel with good carbonation. A great beer for a hot summer day. multiple tastings. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2004 Orange color with a medium head. Aroma of oranges with some corriander. The taste was overwhelmingly corriander, so much so that I found it hard to pick up much else but a little wheat. It was almost like a cranked Wit. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 19, 2004 Medium sour with a light medium body and plenty of yeasty aromas. Light toasty aromas. Some light sour fruit. Very dry. Citric flavors. Not real pretty in the glass - ephemeral head and sticky lacing. Very interesting and gets better as it warms yielding earthy basement and topical fruit aromas. Some light mineral feel. Very attractive bottle. Much thanks to pivo and yogi for this treasure! | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 14, 2004 Pours a hazy gold orange color with a nice creamy head with small bubles that give a good lacing to the glass. The nose is of coriander with slight sour, bread and malty notes. The body and testure are nice and light. It has a citrus and coriander flavor to it that is very nice. This is a very drinkable beer.
