Medium sized head with poor head retention and lacing. Very active carbonation. Aroma is bread, lots of spice and some stone fruit, almond and vegetable notes. Oddly reminds me of artichokes. Taste is fairly thin. Notes of bread, spice, citrus including orange and lime and nuts. Thin-medium bodied. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Smell is tart and salty. Some yeast and salty doughiness and it is quite unique. Taste is wheaty, doughy and yeasty and actually has a bit of a (what I think is) saltiness about it with a light tart lemony twang as well. Very interesting and enjoyable. hayduke (1654), Eureka, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 26, 2009 From that really neat bottle like the one in this photo this poured a cloudy yellow with a very robust head and god lacing. Nose is citrus and flowers. The mouth feel is lively, but feels good on the tongue. The flavor shows the citrus, but after that all the flavors are very unique with sourness and spices combining to be be very delicious. The finish is sour as well, and the spices linger. Very enjoyable and quite an easy drinking beer that might not be for everyone but was one I really enjoyed and will purchase again. ruggedman (619), Portland, Maine, USA

First off what a beautiful bottle of beer, seriously mad props for the bottle alone. Aroma is fruity, slightly citrusy and slightly sour. Flavor is best described as sprite. Yes, it’s like a lemon and lime beer. It’s salty, slightly sour and with a nice clean finish. This is an amazing beer, I actually cant believe something this unique and interesting is rated so low! ajm (932), Los Angeles, California, USA

Nose is floury, with sweet citrus and sweetwater - like a Hef and a Belgian Pale. Flavor is very clean and refreshing, with that weird clovey aftertaste some Hefs get. Quite great for heat. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Thick murky milky yellow farmhouse funky aroma with lots of rind, pith and sour citrus. Soft carbonation. Very lactic and yeasty but I got the bottom of the bottle. Is grainy and potato-like but has a nice fruitiness to uplift it. Mainly very earthy though. Had another bottle that exploded spontaneously. daknole (2942), Plantation, Florida, USA

Aroma of meyer lemons and some earthy notes. Flavor is somewhat unremarkable with a a lot meyer lemon, spices and malt. Average. wetherel (1627), Encinitas, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Wow crazy bottle in the picture. I, on the other hand, had it on tap at PP Carlsbad. The description looked really interesting: lactic acid sourness plus saltiness. Crazy! Sounds good, but alas, it was mediocre. Not really that salty, and sourness was not noticable unless you used your imagination. Yellow amber color. More body than I was expecting out of 4.6%. Coriander is an interesting twist as well. Possibly a mild sweetness, which could be related to the body. Drinkable. Wheat is evident. Lots of bitterness, which is a little odd, not quite hoppy bitterness, but something else.
