I smell hay and citrus acid. the body is light and crisp. The taste is tart and refreshing with grassy flavors along with coriander. The salt makes a nice balanced flavor with the acid.. I’m drinking this beer after a hike and it is quite thirst quenching. The finish is quick with little aftertaste but a certain nose-tingle does linger. hellbilly (1566), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

The nose is inviting with tart wheat, sweet orange and soft coriander. The tart note is amplified on the tongue, leading the way into a nicely complex body. Light and drinkable, the Gose offers sweet wheat, sea salts, esthery lemon and sourdough bread. Finishes spritzy and tart, cleaning the palate in its wake. Very interesting. Cloudy yellow-orange with a medium white head. Big coriander nose with wheat, some yeast and some fruitiness. Sourish wheaty flavor with lots of coriander, some salt notes, some citrus and a bit of banana. Medium-bodied. Not as good as the Döllnitzer Ritterguts Gose but still nice and refreshing. xmarcnolanx (807), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA

Definitely a lot of lactic acid and salt in the aroma. Some melon and pear- white fruits.
Taste is fruity white melon, salty, with touches of spice.
Finishes with a lingering lactic sourness and saltiness that is not overwhelming.
I really like this style, I think. TheCaptain (559), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2008 By all accounts a good looking german ale with decent head and a mild hope wheat aroma. The beer was great on the pallet, crisp and clear but what gave me the twist was the wild salt flavor on the back of the palate like a salt lick! It makes you want to drink more and keeps you thirsty. A bit of a dry salty after taste. moseslikesbeer (183), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA

I didn’t know what to think going into this one and I have to say I liked it. Looked like a wheat beer and tasted like a sour. My only real complaint was that the salt in the taste was a little too over the top. Nice ale. Thanks Mark!!! afireinside96 (841), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

Hazy golden pour with a large white head. Smells very much of coriander and some wheat. Taste is wheat, coriander, salt, slightly tart. Better than expected. RERATE: Had this on tap in Philly at Brauhaus Schmitz and it was much better than from a bottle. It was more like I would imagine what a lambic would taste like if brewed in Germany. Not nearly as much salt character and slightly sour and funky. I’ll probably never see it on draft agian but I wouldn’t hesitate to have it that way again.
