| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 23, 2007 Draft pint shared with my wife at the brewery taproom. Dark golden with a quickly surrendering head. This almost has the aroma of apple cider. It drinks much smoother, mellowly malty with just a mild orchard-like bitter finish. Nice light amber lager. An aroma of some fruitness, malt and wet paper. A slightly sweet start with some bitter finish. I get a hint of appleness in the flavor as well. It even seems to have a bit of warmth. Good carbonation and a decent palate. Overall a surprising beer. Better than expected. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 14, 2007 12 oz bottle, via kyzr. Pours a clear dark gold colored body under a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin ring. Aroma is very vegetal in nature with a heavy corn presence. No hops in evidence. The flavor is quite corn dominated as well with a dry husky graininess throughout. Finishes very bland with a light cereal note. Mouthfeel is thin, light bodied, and has a moderate level of fizzy forced carbonation. I couldn’t believe that this was an all malt beer when I read the label. It’s like a poor imitation of Yuengling Lager. cbkschubert (1974), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Faint spotty lacing. Has a musty toasted malt aroma. Flavor is malty, but a little too bitter up front. Light to medium body. Slight lingering palate. This beer is OK.
