The aroma is heavily malty and lightly pungent. Bursts of caramel, coffee and milk chocolate. What’s a hop, anyway? This lager screams MALT MALT MALT. All kinds of malty notes. BANG!-TOFFEE! POW!-CASHEWS! KABOOM!-BUTTERSCOTCH!
This sparkling clear lager has an (umm, you guessed it) AMBER hue. The medium-sized, creamy, white head is mostly diminishing.
Flavor? Yep!
Moderately malty and lightly tart up front. Perfectly balanced. Not sweet for one single second. Hint of clover or orange blossom honey; I can’t decide. Doesn’t really matter, does it? My only complaint is that this lager is slightly thin and watery.
Light to medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Short, dry finish. Never heard of this brewer prior to this beer’s arrival in my shipment from kyzr. Thanks to Mitch for this excellent beer. I want more of it. MaltHeads, you are really gonna dig this lager. Reminds me of, but does not equal Lake Tahoe Crystal Bay Red Ale and European Zebra’s Lager. Hey Zebra, get back to brewing and bottling that stuff. CaptainCougar (5532), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of lightly sweet pale malt with a touch of caramel and light fruits. Starts lightly sugary sweet with a touch of piny bittering hops before a crisp, bittersweet finish. A pretty drinkable, decent amber lager. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jun 4, 2007 Aroma of grassy hop and medium malt. Light amber color, with a white head that quickly departed. Starts lightly sweet, develops medium mouthfeel as the carbonation leaves, gets a bit sweeter, then finally develops a little hop in the finish. Sort of a maltier version of Bayern Pilsener
