Fast fading white head leaves some lacing. Wheat malt aroma, fairly decent nose. Light to medium bodied with ample carbonation. Slightly biting, peppery. Decent beer. It’s time someone brewed up an Imperial Barrel Aged Kristallweizen. paulmetzger (152), Pocatello, Idaho, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2006 A hazy golden ale, but not as cloudy as a hefe. Not sure what to think of this one. Taste OK, but nothing remarkable. A touch of carmel, but the carbonation and taste disappear to fast to enjoy throught the drink. Overall fair kramer (2527), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 25, 2006 12 oz bottle, via Buch Dich. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a quick disappearing fizzy white head. Very grainy aroma over a light wheat base. Flavor is bland with a little shadow of wheat. I’m getting a very distinct corn flavor on the finish, though no mention of corn on the bottle, with a little bit of garbage juice as well. Very thin and watery with a fizzy mouthfeel. This beer was very everything, unfortunately everything about it was negative. My first Kristallweizen rating though! piscator34 (1136), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 9, 2006 Medium gold in colour with low/medium carbonation. MIld honey aroma with a touch of caramel. More honey in the mouth that takes on a bit of a honeycomb waxy flavor. There’s also a bit of subtle soft fruit and some herbal German noble hop flavor in there too. A bit mouth coating on the palate. A strange beer indeed, but still fairly drinkable. Thanks to rudge75 for sharing. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 11/20 | Jan 21, 2006 OK, so this is simply a filtered version of Bayern’s Hefe. Bummer. What exactly is the POINT of filtering a Hefe? So it looks clearer? Same crisp, hoppy American Wheat flavor as Bayern’s Hefe. Decent. Plenty of citrus. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA
