Color is amber with a slight haze, good carbonation and a very thin head. Taste is light and German. Starting with a light body it goes down smooth with a clean feel. Finish is a mild sweet malt flavor with an easy hop taste and very mellow bitterness. After taste is a very German beer like taste, so much so that if I didn’t know this was brewed in Montana I would have thought it was imported. I am not a big fan of German style brews so I don’t really like this but its not a bad beer. scrizzz (1341), kirkland, Washington, USA

Very earthy, and smooth, toasted, caramel malt flavors. Crisp lager character with low bitterness and very little hop presence. Candy qualities and sweet bready finish. kyzr (1132), Belgrade, Montana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2004 Nice deep copper color with off white head. Aromas of toasted sweet malt. Sweet up front with a hint of toasted grain, nice balance with the hops that are in the background just letting you know that they are there. Very clean finish. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 18, 2008 This has a bit of a sweet aroma, some faint toasted caramel maltiness, a bit of citrus hoppiness. Definitely on the maltier side, with a bit of honey sweetness that lingers through into the finish. Not bad, but not great, but easy to drink. robforbes (1112), Bremerton, Washington, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2009 [Bottle] Pours a really nice clear reddish copper with a small beige head. Aroma is really grainy, some sweet malt, and lager yeast. Flavor matches pretty well with a lingering sweetness on the finish. Nothing special, but not too bad either.
