BückDich (4540), Boise, Idaho, USA Jun 6, 2004 NABA 04: Amber bronze color with light head, some lacing. The aroma is sweet & fruity. Flavor is malty with a little sweetness & lager qualities. Finishes with alcohol & sweetness. jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jun 20, 2007 @Mountain Beerfest-on tap-pours a dissipating off white head and amber color. Aroma is mild light malt-some sweet. Taste is light malt-some sweet, secondary light spice hops. OK carbonation. Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates May 23, 2007 Unfiltered draft pint at the brewery taproom, shared with my wife. Hazy orange with not much of a head. Wheaty aroma and sure enough this is a gristy, rindy, fruity brew, not unlike most American wheats. Vaguely orangey, even. Off style, but good. (#2927, 5/19/2007) bhensonb (2883), Woodland, California, USA Jun 5, 2007 Aroma of medium malt. Nice amber color with an ephemeral white head. It starts a bit thin bodied. Moderate carbonation. The initial is a somewhat watery sweetness, and as the fluid leaves there is a surge of medium dark malt flavor. No burnt, no roast, just malt. There does not seem to be much hop until way into the finish. This is all about malt. Skyview (2851), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Aug 7, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle via trade with kyzr. Pours a clear golden orange brew with an average fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a nice ring and spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, candi sugar, some sweet pears and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is smooth, creamy, medium bodied with a slightly sweet caramel malt and toffee that is very enjoyable. Finish continues the sweet flavor and a slight toffee aftertaste. Taste more of the malt than any hop bitterness in this brew.
