Clear dull gold colour, though there is a lot of sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Light aroma of apples and pears plus a hint of wheat and vague phenols. The body has some zippy carbo, is fairly heavy but yet not sweet. It seems to have quite a bit of hoppy bitterness for the style. A slight lemony, bubblegummy note is the main feature. Dry finish. Not a bad drinker overall, despite not hitting any particular marks.

Bottle best before date of October ’05. Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of yeast, light wheat, and if I really push some banana in the background. Tastes of wheat, light lemons, light oranges, light bananas and light spices (get the trend - everything on the lighter side).

Draught at the Brewpub: Golden cloudy color, thick head and light lacing. Nose of light sulfer, some creamy wheat and some esters. The flavor is creamy, lots of chewy wheat sweetness. Finishes light and tangy.

Aroma of wheat backed by a mild yeasty spice. Brassy color with a white head that was impressive. Starts with spice, wheat and arguably a small bit of banana. Not quite medium bodied, but the carbonation and the spice have a pleasant impact. Nice finish that has the feel of banana without that much of the flavor. Great label too.

Picked up a single bottle at John’s Marketplace in Portland, Oregon. Pours a hazy orangish-amber brew with a creamy white head that slowly dissolves to a film layer and ring. Aroma is light with wheat malt, mild citrus zest, some yeast and a touch of grassy hops. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of sour grape, dry spice, and some aged yeast. Finish is slightly metalic, balanced and then a slight sour fruit aftertaste.

Bottle – tasted as St. Wilburs Weizen-- <P.> The hefeweizen pours a light orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is wheat and grass, some hey and sweetness. A medium to light bodied hefe. Malts are grassy and grainy, with some banana and clove and spice flavors. Touch of orange. Hops are slightly citrusy. A touch sweet and fruity for a hefe. Mild carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
