Thanks for sharing Mark: Ummm.... if there was ever a market for sour chocolate, this beer would corner it.

Black colored, moderate sized tan head with some lace and retention. Aroma is sweet chocolate, some caramel, light hops. Lighter bodied, fairly sweet with a little bit of roasted character.

This beer was very disappointing because it has a nice appearance but has no mouthfeel nor any significant body/flavor. The porter needs a must more significant body and chocolate flavor. The taste seems overly watery. It needs more chocolate and crystal malts.

Gorgeous looking porter with a very faint aroma of chocolate, that’s soon lost after the first taste. From then on, it’s Maracibo Especial all over again -- overwrought with spice and downright unenjoyable.

Served cold from 22 oz. bottle. Pours ruby brown with a medium tan-colored head. The aroma was almost without chocolate, but a good amount of roasted malts. Sweet tasting, with a weird blend of sweet and bitter that somehow doesn’t taste right, but doesn’t taste downright bad. As I drink more I realize it’s just kind of bland. Where’s the chocolate in this chocolate porter?

This is disappoinging. I was hoping it was good but nope. Dark brown in color with a pretty good head. Smell is a little coffee and earthiness. Taste is off and weird with some roastiness but it felt wrong.

Pours black with thin white head. Aroma is acidic vineger with a bit of coffee. Flavor is similar. This is just bad. I’d say infection but other people confirm the same. Terrible beer. Chocolate porter my ass. Thanks for the try riversideAK!

Proof that not all things chocolate are desirable. This poured dark brown with an ample foamy beige head. Subtle nuances of chocolate in the aroma with roasted malt and a note of coffee. Flavor was stale coffee and roasted malt but nary a note of chocolate. Some citrus in the finish that was off putting.
