bomber. garnet color with a very tall rocky head.bitter chocolate aroma with some sweet malts and light cherry notes. strong lactic-like sourness with some tart cherry followed by some light roastiness. not much chocolate as the name would imply.

22 oz. Bottle. Guess I’ve discovered one of the Golden State’s minor brewers at Binny’s. That okay. Definite cocoa and coffee smell upon opening. Pours deep brown, frothy tan head. Taste is more of a soured stout than a porter, though. The sensations promised in the nose do not show up readily in the mouth. I can get a bit of coffee and cocoa, but the sourness runs over it. I see other raters have commented on the sourness, so it’s not because it went home in my car in 90° heat.

From a bomber - pours dark crimson brown with a dense tan head. The aroma has toasted malt, sourness, light cocoa, citrus and some sweetness. Light body with a small amount of sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with fruit and sourness and some toasty malt ~ can’t detect any chocolate. The finish is sour and astringent. Thumbs down to this porter. It is not very good and I’ll never have it again.

Bomber. Poured a clear, very lightly hazy with a short cap of beige head. The aroma hinted at infection with sour notes rising above the lightly roasted chocolate and espresso.. uh-oh. Flavor confirms that this beer ain’t quite right.. some grainy milk chocolate at the core with some coffee bitterness.. but there was an overriding heavy lactose sourness that I don’t think should be there. Sharper and unpleasant on the palate... quite sour. As it warms up, more cocoa emerges and it gets a touch better.

Dark brown color. Nice aroma of dark caramel and roasted malt, a bit phenolic. Quite good flavor, a mix of caramel, roasted malt and dark chocolate. The body is a bit thin. The roasted malt is harsh in the end.
