This is a wonderful dark soured beer. Aroma meets you with a little vinegar. The beer finishes smooth. Should have marketed as a soured beer.
"Chocolate porter my ass!"
"Tastes like fruits"
"I wonder if it is rancid. Chocolate goes rancid."
"This is foul"
"Don’t poor me more!"
"I will pay you twenty dollars to finish it!"

If you rated this beer as a sour, I think it’s nice. That’s how I rated it. If you expected a porter this was terrible. I was either hammered or truly thought this better than my friends. bu11zeye (5570), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Thanks Cavie. I was going to post about how this was probably a bad bottle due to being so thin, sour, and tart. Then I saw how many people also got "bad bottles". I don’t know, it just wasn’t anything like a porter. Sour chocolate ale? Cavie (1439), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Clouded red brown pour. Some chocolate on the pour. Mostly sour scents. Slightly tart taste with some sweeter elements. Tasty yet strangely not to style. BMan1113VR (2894), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 18, 2009 Bottle thanks to cavie. I have seen this so many times without actually picking it up. Pours with a fading tan head and a brown body. Aroma is vinous, with grain, chocolate and dark fruit. Taste is vinous, wet leaves/compost, chocolate, cocoa beans, and badness. Light bubbles and dry. Barely drinkable. JohnnyJ (1344), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 12, 2009 This beer is terrible, like a previous person mentioned this was very unpleasant at first because it is not what you would think. Some malt with sourness, bad fruit, and grain. After drinking a bit more I can pick up very slight amount of roasted malt. This is not good at all, dont try this.
